Cristina Fehr is not just my very good friend—she’s an incredible person with a huge heart, always ready to help others in need. Recently, Cristina’s life took an unexpected turn. After a minor car accident, doctors discovered a large kidney stone during a routine scan. What seemed like a straightforward medical issue quickly became a nightmare. Cristina underwent surgery for a complex staghorn kidney stone, but during the procedure, a mistake led to a punctured diaphragm and lung. This caused urine to leak into her lung area, resulting in a 17-day hospital stay, including 12 days in critical care. She endured two kidney surgeries and five different lung procedures, with drains inserted to remove fluid and fight infection.

After finally being released, Cristina’s challenges continued. She was home for just a week before her condition worsened, leading to another emergency hospital stay. More procedures followed, and despite her strength and determination, her body hasn’t healed as hoped. Now, Cristina faces another major surgery, with doctors working to seal the leak in her kidney and fully drain her lung. Through all of this, Cristina has shown incredible resilience, but the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming.

Cristina is a devoted mother of three children, and the mounting medical bills and time away from work have made this journey even harder. She’s always been the first to lend a hand to others, and now she needs our help.
