Hello family/friends, it has been a week full of unexpected news.

My brother in law during a recent eye exam got some unforeseen news. Cristian’s optometrist noticed bleeding in his retina and other major issues in his eyes. His eyesight was very poor to the point where he could lose his eyesight. Cristian’s optometrist recommended him to go to the hospital immediately due to this issue being urgent. When at the hospital they immediately took him in and ran multiple tests. When receiving back blood work they found that his white blood cells were exceeding high. With multiple tests done they diagnosed him with leukemia. (When the initial visit to the hospital was for his eyesight.) They immediately start chemo due to him having an over excessive amount of white blood cells. They are still running test to see if his eyesight problem is due to the leukemia. We are all still waiting for more results to come in. This has caused a major toll on them due to my sister being on maternity leave with a newborn and my brother in law not working due to him being hospitalized. They are first time parents and can use all the help they can with medical expenses due to him not having medical insurance. They could also use help with bills needing to be covered. Hola familia/amigos , A sido una semana llena de tantas noticias inesperadas .

Mi cuñado durante un examen de la vista reciente recibió algunas noticias imprevistas. El optometrista de Cristian notó sangrado en su retina y otros problemas graves en sus ojos. Su vista era muy severa hasta el punto de que puede perder la vista. El optometrista de Cristian le recomendó que fuera al hospital de inmediato debido a que este problema era urgente. Cuando estaban en el hospital, inmediatamente lo llevaron y le hicieron múltiples exámeneses. Al recibir análisis de sangre, descubrieron que sus glóbulos blancos estaban muy elevados . Con múltiples exámenes realizadas, le diagnosticaron leucemia. (Cuando la visita inicial al hospital fue solo para su vista). Inmediatamente comienzan la quimioterapia debido a que tiene una cantidad excesiva de glóbulos blancos. Todavía están haciendo pruebas para ver si su problema de visión se debe a la leucemia. Todos todavía estamos esperando más resultados. Esto les ha causado un gran costo debido a que mi hermana está de baja por maternidad con un recién nacida y mi cuñado no trabaja debido a que está hospitalizado. Son padres primerizos y pueden usar toda la ayuda que puedan con los gastos médicos, así como con cualquier factura que deban cubrirse.
