Support Cristian Cadiz's Road to Recovery

The family of Cristian Cadiz is reaching out to the friends, family, and colleagues of Jackie Rodriguez and Omar Cadiz, who have had their lives turned upside down by the most devastating, life-changing tragic event. On January 22, 2025, their 20-year-old son, Cristian Cadiz, was struck while on his moped on Taft Street in Hollywood near his home. He is currently in ICU, as he has incurred multiple severe injuries that will require several surgeries and long-standing rehabilitation at Memorial Regional Trauma Center.

As many of you know, the Rodriguez/Fernandez family has been here before. Approaching the five-year anniversary of a horrific accident involving Cristian's stepfather, Jorge Fernandez, in which he was struck by a motor vehicle, suffering life-altering effects. Cristian's story eerily resembles that of his stepfather. History has cruelly repeated itself so closely to five years ago, including the same gut-wrenching call, same trauma center, same injury, same wounds reopened that are still healing.

The driving factor of our faith is that Jorge Fernandez, stepfather, has made a remarkable recovery. The very hands that were put on him several years ago by the neurosurgeons and trauma team at Memorial Regional are the same hands that have been placed on Cristian from the moment he was rushed in last night. We have hope that Cristian will be fully restored; we have faith.

Now is the time to stand alongside our dear friends once again and support them by any means possible to get through this long, enduring road to recovery.
