Support Cristal's Fresh Start Journey

Hi All,

I know you probably don't know me. My name is Cristal, and I normally would not reach out like this, and it pains me to be asking for help. I am currently trying to raise funds for moving costs to move out of state. I am trying to leave a toxic situation and get away from an abusive ex-partner with aggression and anger issues. I am hoping to have enough saved to get myself and my cat moved away from the state I am in so that I am not around or near this person. I do have a full-time job, but since I am paying for all of my current rent and utilities in the apartment I am in, as well as other medical bills, savings have been slow growing. As the sole provider I am living almost paycheck to paycheck. I do have a little saved, but I am hoping to have enough saved by early May to be able to leave the current place I reside when the lease expires. I do not and cannot continue to stay in the situation I am in.

I know the amount I am requesting may seem like a lot. The state I am moving to is 1,900 miles from where I currently live. I do not drive, so flying and shipping items are my only options as of this moment. I have enough saved for plane ticket costs and shipping a few items. The amount I am trying to gather is strictly for moving costs, the initial deposit, security deposit, pet deposit, and application costs that come with moving into a new place. Enough just to get me moved, a place to live, and back on my feet. Any extra will absolutely be used for furniture and other necessities. I plan on taking no furniture with me, just a few boxes of clothing and sentimental items. I am essentially starting from scratch in a new place. My cat also needs a health certificate to fly, as well as TSA approved carrier and harness. Some of the funds will go to her costs for that as well.

I know this is a lot to ask. It pains me that I am needing to reach out this way. Anything would be very helpful, and I appreciate anyone who is able to donate. I know that times are very hard for all of us. I thank each of you for your kindness, and I usually would not ask for funding in this type of situation if I did not absolutely need it.
