Dear Friends + Family,

This May, Cristal, one of my closest friends/colleague was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned her world (and ours) upside down. She has floored us all with her strength and positivity throughout this entire process.

Cristal is undergoing surgery on June 17th to remove the mass and will also complete a double mastectomy. The care and support she has received from her medical team so far has been fantastic, and we are so grateful that she has access to such excellent medical professionals. However, the cost associated with her upcoming surgery and healing time can be overwhelming.

Cristal was firmly against any kind of fundraising – but after discussing the final procedure cost and hospital stay, it will be expensive. We are launching this GoFundMe with the hopes of covering the cost of her expenses for. The costs include:

• Mass removal surgery

• Double mastectomy

• Meals & daily living expenses during her stay and recovery

• Time lost from work

• DD Implants ☺

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to ensure Cristal can focus on her treatment and recovery each week, without the added stress of this financial burden. Everything raised will go directly to supporting her and her 14-year-old son.

Cristal is a loving mother, daughter and friend. She has always been there for us without question or hesitation. No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a significant difference as she works toward recovery.
