A very dear and close loved one of mine has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and urgently needs to begin chemotherapy treatment. As a family, we are doing everything we can to cover the medical expenses, but unfortunately the costs are far beyond our means. This situation is even more challenging due to his status as an immigrant.

Five years ago, his daughter was diagnosed with Non-Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, a rare type of cancer. In order to save her life and access the treatment she needed, he made the difficult decision to migrate to Canada and take on the enormous medical expenses that came with it. Thankfully, she responded well to treatment, recovered, and is currently doing well, continuing with her annual medical check-ups. However, the debts from that difficult time are still outstanding and continue to be a significant financial burden for the family.

Just one month ago, he experienced a serious health setback. After undergoing several medical tests, he received this devastating diagnosis: gastric (stomach) cancer. This news has deeply affected our entire family.

We are hoping to raise $100,000 to help cover the cost of his treatment and medical care, as everything must be paid out of pocket since he does not have access to health insurance. That is why we are humbly asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us get closer to giving him the treatment he urgently needs.

Un ser muy querido y cercano para mí ha sido diagnosticado con cáncer de estómago y necesita comenzar con urgencia un tratamiento de quimioterapia. Como familia estamos haciendo todo lo posible por cubrir los gastos médicos, pero lamentablemente los costos superan nuestras posibilidades. Esta situación es aún más difícil debido a su condición de migrante.

Hace cinco años, su hija fue diagnosticada con histiocitosis de células no Langerhans, un tipo raro de cáncer. Para poder salvar su vida y acceder al tratamiento que necesitaba, él tomó la difícil decisión de migrar a Canadá y asumir los enormes gastos médicos que esto implicaba. Gracias a Dios, ella respondió favorablemente al tratamiento, logró recuperarse y actualmente se encuentra bien, continuando con sus controles médicos anuales. Sin embargo, las deudas de ese difícil momento aún continúan y siguen siendo una carga económica importante para la familia.
