Emily Bargar and her family, including her son Carl, have been a beloved part of the Ogden community for many years. If you’ve ever been to Criddle’s Cafe, you know Emily, and her children, who worked alongside her. For the past several years, Emily has been a staple at Criddle's, and not only did she work there, but Carl and three of his siblings did as well. The Bargar family truly became the heart of the cafe, and their warmth and dedication made Criddle's a special place for everyone who visited.
The recent closure of Criddle's Cafe on February 28th has deeply affected the Bargar family and the entire community. As employees of Criddle's, Emily and her children lost their source of income overnight, adding to the stress and uncertainty they were already facing.
Recently, Carl began experiencing serious health issues that led Emily to take him to the ER. Hospital staff determined that Carl needed to be admitted, and he was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease. This diagnosis required surgery to remove most of his small intestine, but unfortunately, complications arose. Carl suffered internal bleeding and needed several blood transfusions. His body does not produce iron as it should, so he now requires regular iron transfusions. This has been an incredibly stressful and expensive time for the family.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward medical bills and general living expenses, helping the family cover costs during this challenging period.
