Support Creed's Journey to Recovery

Hi! This is Creed, and he is an amazing Heart Warrior. At his 18-week anatomy scan, a possible heart defect was found. At 22 weeks in utero, a ventricular septal defect (VSD) the size of a quarter and an interrupted aortic arch were confirmed.

Creed was born on July 23, 2024, in the front seat of his parents' Jeep at 38 weeks. He was immediately taken to the NICU to be placed on medicine.

After his birth, he was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome, which is caused by a defect in Chromosome 22. It was also found that he had a narrow aortic valve.

When he was seven days old, he had his first open-heart surgery where they put a stent on his patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) to keep it open and placed bands on his pulmonary arteries to keep blood flowing.

Shortly after this surgery, Creed was able to go home with his family to grow and wait for his second heart surgery.

In November, Creed was admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) to get a nasogastric (NG) tube and then a catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab) shortly after to get information for his upcoming surgery.

Creed had his second open-heart surgery on December 18, 2024. It was supposed to be a complete repair and final surgery.

Unfortunately, he got a double infection and has had several more since, both viral and bacterial. On February 4, 2025, Creed underwent another procedure in which they placed a tracheostomy tube (Trach tube). It was also found that he will need another heart surgery as well as potential for others.

Creed has spent over half his life in the hospital, with his current stay being the longest. March 26, 2025, marked 100 days in his current stay.

The Children’s Hospital of Georgia has reached out to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for ideas to help Creed to get him home with his family.

Once Creed is home, he will need 24/7 care, specialty appointments (speech, physical therapy, vent clinics, and more), and specialty equipment to accommodate his vent.

This GoFundMe is being created to help his family out with costs that are not covered by insurance. All donations are greatly appreciated and go to support Creed in his journey. Donations can also be sent via Venmo to @Skye-Wolfley.
