We are Creative Beginnings, a family owned child care center in Morganton, NC, celebrating 25 years in operation but closed now for three weeks after serious flooding and storm damage from Hurricane Helene.

Our 180 children have nowhere to go, and their parents need to work. We have been able to use a couple of Burke County public school classrooms for our 3 to 5-year-olds, but we desperately need to get our center re-opened so we can care for our infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds! We are keeping as many people employed with our center as possible.

As we work to rebuild, we need money to purchase new furniture, books, and toys as well as continue paying our staff who we are so grateful for, as they help us with the manual labor required to reopen the building so they can get back to doing what they love--caring for the children of Burke County!

We will use all funds raised to pay our staff members during closing and purchase items for classrooms like diaper changing stations and cribs.
