Hi! As many of you may know, my dad has been in the hospital for the past month due to congestive heart failure. Unfortunately, this is not his first cardiac scare as he has already had 2 open-heart surgeries. Most recently, he has braved many procedures and a stay in the ICU, but he is finally ready to go home! In order to keep feeling better, he will need IV medications, a LifeVest, and weekly in-home care. As we know all too well, healthcare in America is expensive. I hate the fact that my dad is going to have to worry about medical bills instead of his recovery.
