Support Craig's Cancer Journey

In April 2023, nine months after his daughter was born, Craig Kortekaas was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and incurable form of brain cancer. With an indomitable spirit, he endured multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, three major surgeries, an inordinate number of doctor appointments, and enough medicine to fill a pharmacy. He did this with courage, faith, gratitude, and always with a sense of humor.

Through most of his treatment, Craig was still working full-time and stayed busy being a husband, a dad, a son, a brother, and the “favorite uncle.” Craig always went out of his way to personally and sincerely thank each nurse, nurse’s aid, radiologist, hospitality worker, doctor, and surgeon - often with tears in his eyes. He constantly thought of others above himself.

As his primary caregiver, Craig’s wife, Laddy, was by his side through thick and thin. She was there for every doctor appointment, treatment, hospital stay, and difficult conversation - embodying the love of Jesus by laying down her life for Craig.

Craig will spend his remaining days in hospice care surrounded by family - the very thing that mattered most to him in this life. Please join us in prayer for him and his family.

If you're looking for a way to lend a hand, we set up this GoFundMe to help Laddy cover medical bills and funeral costs and to support his memory.

With much gratitude,
Team Craig
