This is not something Craig asked for , and honestly, asking for help is just not who he is. He hasn’t expressed a financial need, and he would never. But those of us who know him best understand that love sometimes means stepping in quietly, without being asked.
We created and sharing this GoFundMe as one way we can show up for him. No pressure at all, any amount, or simply knowing you were thought of, means something! :)
How it began...
In September 2024, Craig was simply doing what he loved, traveling and enjoying the beauty of the fall season in the great city of Chicago. Without any warning, he suffered a sudden seizure that left him temporarily unresponsive, far from home and alone.
After a week in the hospital, the news delivered was the kind that changes everything. Doctors discovered a mass on his brain. The diagnosis was, glioblastoma (GBM), one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer, turned his world upside down in an instant.
Unable to fly, Craig made the long journey home facing a new reality he never anticipated. What began as one tumor became two. The seizures grew more severe and more frequent, at times leaving him temporarily paralyzed and unable to walk. He has had to relearn things most of us take for granted, including simply putting one foot in front of the other, all while recovering from a minor stroke.
Craig has not just been fighting cancer. He has been fighting to reclaim his life, his independence, and his dignity, one day at a time, and he is still fighting. And right now, he needs us.

Let's Rally Around Craig!
Most of you reading this have known Craig for years, and that's no accident. He has always been the kind of person who shows up, stays in touch, and makes people feel like they genuinely matter. That wide circle of friends is proof of it. Now it is our turn to show up for him.
If you have ever had a friend who made you want to be better just by being around them, you know exactly who Craig is. Loving, fun, honest in the best way, and always the first one there when life gets hard. He has spent years investing in the people around him. That is simply who he is.
For 18 months, Craig has been fighting brain cancer with more grace and courage than most of us could summon. He has walked through surgery, chemotherapy, and two rounds of radiation, all while navigating the financial weight of a terminal diagnosis without income. Craig has never asked for help. He has spent his whole life being the help. This is our chance to return that.
Contributions help cover in-home care, life-alert device , medical bills, prescriptions, transportation, insurance premiums, mental health support, and everyday living expenses. Covering even one bill or one week of groceries is a real and meaningful gift. No amount is too small.
The goal listed is simply a starting point. What matters far more is that Craig feels the love behind every contribution. The need is real, and it is right now.
To everyone who has already called, texted, or shown up in any way, thank you. It has meant everything.
If you cannot give financially, your prayers are just as valued. And whether you give or not, please share this link. Some of his biggest supporters may be one share away from seeing it for the first time. Sharing costs nothing and changes everything.
Thank you for being exactly who Craig has always believed you to be.
