Support Craig Sumsion

Craig Sumsion had a massive stroke November 5, on his 62nd birthday, while he was in the U.S. driving truck. Fortunately he was not behind the wheel at the time, but he was alone and was not found in time to reverse the damage. He was rushed to Butte, Montana where he stayed for 11 days before he was flown to Foothills hospital in Calgary.  He also ended up with pneumonia during this time.

After he was strong enough and on the mend from pneumonia, he was transferred to the Dr. Vernon Fanning rehabilitation centre. He has been going through very intense occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech therapy. He may never have use of his right hand and will never walk again. His speech is coming but is still unable to say how he feels or communicate very well.

The goal is to find him a long-term care facility . The bills have been adding up, and Craig and Sue are still waiting for any funding from WCB and EI. Sue injured her hand last year and hadn't been able to work for quite a while, so there isn't a financial cushion to draw on, and the 11 days in Montana and going back and forth to Calgary frequently is expensive. Please give what you can; it all adds up and every bit helps. If you prefer to not use your credit card on the internet, you can send a donation (payable to Sue Sumsion) c/o Chrissy Sumsion, Box 1125, Nanton, AB T0L 1R0

You help is greatly appreciated. Even if you can't donate, please share this to get the word out.
