We are Aunt Kay Kay and Aunt Terryl, and we are organizing this fundraiser for our nephew Craig and his wife Misty Ring, who live in North Platte, NE. On April 13th, Craig woke up unable to walk, and Misty rushed him to the local ER. There, doctors discovered a large tumor growing on Craig’s brain. He was immediately transferred to Kearney, NE, 100 miles away, where he underwent emergency surgery. After two surgeries, the tumor was removed, but Craig now faces a long road to recovery. He is currently in inpatient rehab, working hard to relearn how to walk, talk, and eat.

Misty has been by Craig’s side every step of the way, driving 100 miles each way daily to visit him. Sometimes, she stays at the hospital hotel, which adds to their expenses. Craig is the main provider for their family, but he had only been at his new job long enough to get medical insurance—not short-term disability. At just 50 years old, Craig is unable to work and support his family right now, and the financial strain is overwhelming.
