Support Craig during his recovery

For the second time in his life, Craig is being treated for kidney failure. He is father to our amazing 8-year-old niece Clara and has spent the last several years volunteering on behalf of other people dealing with kidney disease here in the Ottawa region, and right across Canada.

Recently, he ran into unexpected and serious complications. What was thought to be exhaustion due to poor quality dialysis led to surgery to create a new access point. Post-surgery, symptoms persisted and with sudden swelling and pain he was rushed to emergency where tests found clotting in the dialysis access, and blocked arteries leading to his heart.

This is a serious issue that requires triple bypass surgery and will have him sidelined for some time. On top of already spending time in the hospital, he will remain in the hospital for an unknown amount of time and will then have a lengthy recovery.

This has imposed serious ramifications in terms of covering his monthly expenses while he is laid up. Already on disability that doesn't cover his basic monthly expenses, he won’t be able to work part-time to make up the difference. Once he is released from the hospital, Craig will require rehabilitation and encounter treatment expenses for several months while he recuperates.

As so many people have benefitted from the several fundraisers and awareness campaigns Craig has led over the years as a volunteer and working with the Kidney Foundation, we are asking friends and family to support him now in any way they can. Any amount, no matter how small, will help Craig and Clara during this challenging time. Please share to help us reach as many people as possible.
