**Help Craig's Fight Against Brain Tumor**
Hi, I'm Kim, a longtime friend of the Chambers family. Craig has been battling a benign pilocytic astrocytoma brain tumor for almost six years. While he underwent surgery over five years ago to remove the tumor, it has started to grow back, and additional treatment is now necessary.
After consulting with specialists, it’s been determined that radiation is the best option to target the tumor. However, because of its proximity to Craig's hippocampus—the part of the brain responsible for memory—treatment must be carefully chosen to minimize any impact on his memory and overall health.
We are so grateful that Craig has been referred to the University of Washington in Seattle, one of the few brain tumor centers in the U.S. offering proton beam therapy. This cutting-edge treatment is known for its low side effects, particularly in preserving memory, and offers Craig the best chance of long-term recovery.
The treatment will require Craig to relocate to Seattle for six weeks, where he will undergo radiation five times a week. This period will be difficult, as he will be away from his family and work, but the hope is that this therapy will not only combat the tumor but also improve his quality of life in the long run. Treatment will start the beginning of April and finish mid May.
Craig has given so much to our community—coaching, mentoring, and guiding countless individuals, including my own son. Now, it’s our turn to give back.
We are asking for your support to help Craig and his family during this challenging time. Your donation will help cover the costs of Craig’s treatment, travel, and living expenses in Seattle. Even if you cannot contribute financially, we would appreciate any prayers, positive thoughts, or offers of help.
Thank you so much for your generosity. Let’s come together to show the Chambers family the love and support they have shown to so many of us.
