UPDATE: Craig’s progression has come to a standstill. With no updates to his health, plans with the hospice doctor have been made. His plan of care has been changed and they are discontinuing him from his feeding tube and all other lines as a trial run to what his home hospice care will look like. If he continues through the night tonight okay, he will be coming home to live out the rest of his life on his own, which is his wishes. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and sent their well wishes and prayers. We could never thank you all enough for everything. Angie is eternally grateful from the outpouring of support from everyone. If you wish to continue to help her, you can still donate. 100% of proceeds are going to Angie now as she navigates through this life altering change as she prepares to lose her husband and loving life partner while continuing to financially support herself while in recovery from her surgery. Thank you.
Hello, my name is Allyssa. I’m the daughter-in-law of Craig and Angela Woods. If you know Angie and Craig, you know that they are and have always been attached at the hip. From being young kids in love, to young parents, to young grandparents, all of life’s trials and tribulations have yet to separate them. Their love for each other and all of their family could always be seen a mile away.
Unfortunately, this past year both of them have managed to land themselves in the hospital due to health issues. Not only at the same time, mind you, but the exact same hospital, getting surgery at the exact same time. Clearly, they just couldn’t be away from each other! Angie’s for an emergent cancer-removing surgery, Craig’s for a stomach-draining procedure. Craig has a long line of recovery coming for him, which this time, he seems to be ready for, battling cirrhosis of the liver, pneumonia, amongst other things. Angie is battling her cancer, recovering from surgery, as well as radiation treatments to follow.
Unfortunately, bills do not stop. With both of them being out of work for some time, we are unsure of how their upcoming rent, electric, and other bills will be paid. They are the most giving people who have done nothing but work hard and provide for their family all their lives, it didn’t leave much room for saving. Funds at this time are very low, so if you could find it in your heart to help them relieve some of the stress of these finances so that they can just focus on recovering, we would be truly grateful. Thank you for reading.
