Saving Eva - CPV Rescue and Sanctuary
Tax deductible
I'm Sarah, the Executive Director of CPV Rescue & Sanctuary, a no-kill, non profit shelter and sanctuary owned by my sister, Dr. Jessica Price who also owns a single doctor, private small animal hospital (Clinton Pet Vet). Something needs to be done about animal abuse. This is the second horrible case we have seen in 3 months. This is Eva. She is only 12 weeks old. A gray little baby who should be nothing but happy. Instead, she's fighting to survive. I will not be sharing the details of what happened to her except to say it is the worst animal abuse and cruelty case Dr. Price or I have ever seen. This kitten has endured more pain than most will in a lifetime. There is physical trauma to her body as well as broken bones and injuries leaving her unable to walk. Her spirit has been tested in the unkindest of ways but despite it all... Eva is still here and she's still trying. And where others may give up, we won't. She deserves a chance. Her recovery will be long and uncertain. She isn't out of the woods yet. She needs expert medical care, patience and most of all to be loved. Please keep Eva in your thoughts in the days and weeks ahead. As Albus Dumbledore wisely said "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." Eva's light is still flickering and although this case has left me extremely disheartened, I will always try to remember that we are the ones who help. Please donate. Be the light for Eva and all animals. If by chance we go over the amount requested, please know that all proceeds will go to all the other cats in need of care. At our rescue, 100% of all donations go toward the care of animals, none of us take a salary and we are run by dedicated and caring volunteers. Thank you.
