Donation protected
On July 14th, 2019, Captain Joseph Puccio was involved in a life-threatening accident when a vehicle pulled out in front of his motorcycle. Joseph has suffered multiple injuries, to include: broken ribs and sternum, collapsed lungs, broken hip, compound, open fracture in foot and ankle, lacerated liver and spleen, severe injury to his right arm, and more. The most serious concern is traumatic brain injury. Joseph still has not regained consciousness.
CPT Puccio is an Active Duty Soldier and instructor at FT Lee, VA. The Army is covering his treatment and his Army family has provided outstanding support. However, this accident has put a financial hardship on his family. His parents have been by his bedside during this time. Currently, the doctors are planning to send Joseph to Georgia for his long-term rehabilitation.
This fund has been started by Joseph's friends and is intended to help Joseph's family with the extra-medical expenses related to Joseph's treatment and recovery.
- Lost income for Joseph's parents (Joe Sr. and Claudia).
- Costs of travel from New Jersey for Joseph's family members
- Additional expenses that may be required for Joseph that are not covered by the Army.
- Equipment or devices that Joseph may need.
- Potential travel between NJ and Georgia during Joseph's recovery.
- Extra costs for helping to manage Joseph's affairs.
- Assist with care for Joseph's sister.
At this time we do not know how much financial support the family will need. However, we want to give them the ability to focus on and to help Joseph.
Foremost we ask for your prayers for Joseph and on behalf of the family, thank you for your support.
