Support Coy’s Recovery After Spinal Surgery

Coy Michael was involved in a situation at work, he is a teacher. He was helping break up a fight between 2 students and unfortunately was injured. For the past 2 months he’s been in pain and having numbness and weakness. They have gone from doctor to doctor and tried all the medications. On Sunday, his pain became unbearable. His wife rushed him to the ER and pushed for more imaging. Turns out Coy has herniated discs and spinal stenosis caused by the incident. The herniated discs are pinching his spinal cord and pressing on his nerves which is what’s causing his pain. He will havf surgery to remove the herniated discs and replace them with a titanium brace. He will have to wear a collar and recovery will be about 6 weeks.
Since then he has had complication and needed a second surgery. Let’s come together to support Coy and the Smith family during this time. They will have many unforeseen circumstances, Coy’s wife is having to also take unpaid time off to care for him at this time. Please help the family get back on their feet.
