Support Covey Bears Recovery

Hello family and friends,

As some of you have heard on April 1st on the way to the hospital our youngest son Coves (5 months old at the time) heart stopped in the car. We successfully made it to the hospital in time for them to restart his heart.

Two hospitals and two life flights later we are able to sleep knowing our son is finally stable enough to make it through the night. We are blessed our son is alive and with us, but his event has caused his brain to suffer extensive anoxic trauma.

Our plan is to continue helping his healing once we get discharged from the hospital by enrolling him in oxygen therapy. With his event being so rare for his age it is crucial we start therapy immediately and start aggressive. We’ll be driving him 5 days a week to a center for three different therapies specific to his needs. We are already so blessed just having him here with us but since insurance doesn’t cover oxygen therapy in general and our insurance won’t cover his speech therapy (to learn how to eat again) and physical therapy (to learn how to move again) we are reaching out in hopes this reaches as many generous people as possible!

Our goal is to raise 60,000$ which will cover 6 months of his treatments (It’s 2,500 a week for the three therapies together).
