My cousin, has always been a role model in our family and community. Born in 1995 and raised in the mountains of Kastoria, Greece, he’s spent his life as a shepherd, caring for his animals and living simply. He is known for his kindness and willingness to help others, always putting the needs of friends and neighbors before his own. He’s never asked for much, and his humble spirit has touched everyone who knows him.

Last week, life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. One moment he was tending his flock in the hills, the next he was facing a difficult diagnosis and the reality of hospital visits, biopsies, and chemotherapy. Without health insurance or sick leave, now unable to work and is facing mounting medical bills. The financial burden is heavy, and every day away from the mountains means no income for him.
