Support Courtney's Medical Recovery Journey

Hi, I’m Crystal- one of Courtney’s good friends. Courtney (age 32) has been dealt with several unfortunate medical events and conditions recently and will need lots of help healing both medically, mentally, physically and financially. Initially, Courtney was needing some genetic tests run to see if she had a gene mutation that would require a double mastectomy . Her physician suspected that she also has malignant nodules. She had the testing done to see if anything came back yet, but she doesn’t have the results yet. She was going to have the breast surgery initially on May 22 and then life threw her a few curveballs. Over the course of the last few weeks, Courtney has had some issues with extremely high blood pressures, trembling and getting very tense on the right side. She then had an EKG that was abnormal and several blood tests ran. Her blood pressures have remained very high. Yesterday, sadly she suffered a stroke. They gave her medicine to break up any potential clots. Her CT scan showed no clots thankfully! She has had a multitude of tests to see if they can find out any answers for her. Her MRI showed inflammation in her brain and they are going to do a Lumbar puncture tomorrow to see if she has Multiple Sclerosis. They also checked her for blood clots in her legs and a test that causes a bubble to move through her heart to check for any holes in her heart and she is still awaiting answers on those tests. She said her face isnt as droopy as yesterday. She currently can’t move her right leg. She does have a small amount of movement in her right arm. The doctors told her today that she would have to relearn how to use her right leg. Courtney has been telling her doctors for weeks than something just isn’t right. I hate it took this to get their attention. Courtney has a long road ahead of her. She has a very loving family including her 3 children.
