Support Courtney's Family After Helene took everything

Hello there I'm Courtney. I am born and raised in the Dunedin community and was affected by Hurricane Helene. I am a single mom of a sweet 9 year old girl with a kidney disease and take care of my 67 year old dad and our 2 cats. Our mobile home was completely destroyed by the 4 and half feet of water inside. It is uninhabitable and we have lost everything. The complex is still charging everyone lot fee of $850 a month even though it is still without power and water and smells of dead animals and bio waste. They have told us if we don't want to pay the lot fee we have to give them the title to our home ( or what's left of it for that matter).

My daughter is a silly fun loving girl who loves drawing and reading. Unfortunately all of her things have been ruined including toys, school uniforms, clothing, art supplies, her book collection. My dad worked hard to take care of me as a kid and now I have been taking care of him for 3 years. He lost medical/dental equipment and all his clothes and possessions in the flooding.

We have been couching hopping and sleeping in our car. We have been driving around trying to get into food banks for food when they open or any food help from the community. I'm trying to tear out every item myself and have to find care for my daughter since the mold is not good for her health, like anyone else, and she shouldn't see the devastation. I have been unable to work due to the aftermath and its my 35th birthday.

My family and I would be ever so grateful for any amount to help us get into a rental and help me replace our safety, food, water, clothing, furniture and lost personal items. I'll never get back the cherished items when she was a baby, photos, or her imaginative story books she loves to create and show me but this could help me give them the security we need to get through this and build our lives back again. Its heartbreaking to see my hometown so different after this storm but I know our town is a fighting one and a giant community that helps each other and we will see each other through these hard times.
