As many of you know, the Donaldson-Miller family has been faced with some devastating news over the past few months. Between the sudden and unexpected loss of Jacob’s beloved father and Courtney’s recent breast cancer diagnosis, just weeks before their wedding, Courtney and Jacob are beginning to feel the financial strain of everyday expenses and medical bills.

Courtney, 22, was recently diagnosed with a rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer, angiosarcoma. Due to the aggressiveness and an increase in size of Courtney’s tumor within a few weeks of diagnosis, Courtney’s treatment has begun with chemotherapy, AIM (Doxorubicin, Ifosfamide, Mesna). The plan is for Courtney to receive 6 cycles of chemo, radiation, then surgical intervention, which will consist of either a single or double mastectomy. During these treatments and procedures, Courtney and Jacob will continue to travel and stay in Birmingham when needed. Due to a recent complication with Courtney’s mediport, her providers have asked that she not work due to the nature of her profession (horse trainer).
