My name is Joel Todd, my wife is Courtney Todd. She has congenital hydrocephalus and the shunt that's in her brain is failing. It has only been in for less than a year. She recently lost her job and has been working at Walmart to make ends meet. She was supposed to start a new job today, but that has been delayed due to this crisis. We live in Sheridan, Wyoming, and her medical team is in Denver, Colorado, so we are here at the hospital in Colorado. We have 2 cats and a dog at home that are all medically challenged, (the dog has addisons disease and one cat has digestive issues and the other cat has overactive thyroid)and so we have a pet sitter that watches them, but their meds are all due for refills and 2 of them need vet check-ups. I will have to pay for a hotel while she is here untill she is on the road to recovery and for local care and housing for a few weeks after surgery.

Until she is well enough to return to Sheridan, (I have to return to Sheridan and work to support us while she is down.) our local medical facilities there do not have the ability to care for her condition. I will have to pay out of pocket to keep her medical coverage going until she returns to work and all this comes with a price tag we cannot afford completely on our own.
