Support Courtney Peterson's Eye Cancer Battle

My niece, Courtney Peterson, a young mother of four, is facing a daunting medical challenge. Recently diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma, an extremely aggressive rare cancer...it is urgent that she has treatment with an Ocular Oncologist. This cancer (the initial eye tumor) is one that a medical oncologist doesn’t treat, she will have to travel to see an Ocular Oncologist. This means she will need to travel for all of her treatments and appointments quite a distance. She is not choosing to go out if town, it is that this is a rare cancer that there is absolutely no treatment for locally of any kind. She has had trouble with her insurance company and has paid out of pocket for 2 out of 4 of the last appointments. The costs of travel, loss of wages, and medical bills are staggering. Initial consultation is $3,000 and the follow-up surgery is $60,000.
