Courtney lost her beloved husband, Lafayette, to cancer earlier this year—just before the Eaton Fire devastated parts of Los Angeles. Throughout Lafayette’s illness, Courtney cared for him with incredible strength and grace while raising their two young children (ages 8 and 6).
Since his passing, Courtney has been navigating deep grief, emotional distress, and stress-related health challenges that have prevented her from returning to work as an ICU nurse. Despite her strong faith in Christ and the loving support of family and friends, she is struggling to keep up with rising rent and daily living costs.
Your donation will help Courtney and her children regain stability—covering essentials such as housing, medical care, and everyday expenses—so they can begin to heal and rebuild their lives.
The Hight family has been the kind of neighbors everyone wishes for—warm, generous, and always ready to help others. Now it’s our turn to stand by them. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
P.S. Contributed funds will be accessible directly and exclusively by Courtney only.
With heartfelt gratitude,
