Support Couple Forced to Move After Loss

I never thought in a million years I would do this, but our backs are against the wall and time is not on our side.

As many of you know, a little over 3 years ago, I quit my full-time job with benefits, moved away from our children and grandchildren so my husband and I could move to Florida to care for our Aunt who had MS and was wheelchair-bound. We moved in with her and I cared for her 24/7. She was the sweetest, most beautiful, caring, strong-willed, selfless woman that I have ever met. Sadly, she gained her angel wings the day after her 76th birthday on June 6, 2025.

Her intentions were that she wanted to leave her house to us and had even spoken to an attorney about it to get done what needed to be done so that could happen. Unfortunately, said attorney is best friends with her daughter and son-in-law and dragged his feet to make sure the paperwork was never filed. Our Aunt even told her daughter what her wishes for the house were. Nine days after her passing, the son-in-law calls me and basically, we're being kicked out of the house.

My husband is on disability, suffered a stroke a little over a year ago, had colon cancer, and then an ileostomy bag on for 9 months. We do not have the financial means to do this move. We're going to have to rent a U-Haul, need to find a place, and have money to move in. We don't have a clue where we're going and how soon we have to be out as we are no longer talking to the daughter and her husband.
