Support Countryside in Buying 2 AEDs
Donation protected
Hi, we’re Maria and Andrea, members of the Countryside Montessori Day School Parent Teacher Organization Safety Committee. We’d love your help in making Countryside a Heart Safe school!
Currently, Countryside does not have an automated external defibrillator (AED) on campus. AEDs are used to save people who go into sudden cardiac arrest. They increase the chance of survival by 3x compared to waiting for emergency medical services to intervene or standard CPR.
The estimated time for emergency services to arrive at Countryside is 10-15 minutes. After 8-10 minutes, the victim of cardiac arrest will die if there is no AED support.
We’ve spent the last four months researching grant opportunities and other funding options. Since the school is for profit, we’ve had challenges in qualifying for many grants that are available. At this time, Countryside does not have the funds within their budget to purchase AEDs.
We will use this fundraiser to purchase two AEDs from Marrelly. We’ll place one on the main campus and the other AED at the Forest School creek area. In the future, we’d like to have four AEDs total to put in each building and the creek site.
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping Countryside prepare for emergencies! The fund breakdown is listed below:
