Our dear friend Cory went in for an overdue colonoscopy on April 1 and was stunned to find out that there was an area of concern that needed to be further examined. On April 15th, Lisa and Cory received the devastating news that Cory was facing Colon Cancer. After initial consultations locally, it was decided that the best course of treatment would be administered in NYC. Cory will undergo surgery on 6/24 and Lisa will be staying in NYC throughout the course of his treatment. Lisa and Cory are such amazing humans with the biggest, kindest hearts! They would do anything for anyone and it's our time to help them! Travel expenses, co-pays, unpaid leave, etc. can make an already devastating time, more difficult. Please consider contributing whatever you can to help alleviate some of this burden for our beautiful friends. Lisa was reluctant to accept any assistance but said if this can raise awareness and encourage others to get routine colonoscopies, it is worth it. Please get screened. Please get checked.
