Hi there, I'm Michael, a longtime friend of Cory Blackwood (Vinyl slinging, mohawk donning owner of Ritual Records). On 7/18 a distressed individual wound up breaking through one of the large windows on Ritual Records facing Magnolia street. Insurance nor the building owner will cover the cost of broken windows, unfortunately.

There's "cost of business" expenses, yes, but unexpected $3,000 expenses are enough to hamstring a small business, no matter how successful and I think everyone can agree that Ritual Records is way too important to the vibrancy and super coolness of downtown to lose, and Cory is just the kind of guy who you would take the shirt off your back for.

So I guess I'm asking for the shirt off your back.

I don't think we need to cover the cost of the window, but can we help defray the cost of this random unfortunate event? I think so. I hope so.
