Corrinna is the first person to show up for so many of us and simply an amazing human. She is the best friend, aunt to many, daughter, sister, coworker and most of all, she is a strong and vibrant woman full of joy and an excitement for life! Christmas, clouds, alpacas, kids, day trips, anyone?
As she announced this week, she was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and she is in the process of working out treatment options. She has requested privacy in regards to medical details so she has time to focus her energy on decision-making.
Many of you have asked how you can support her right now, and she is so overwhelmed and thankful for that! While she doesn’t have all the details of treatment, she does know she will need to take time off work (and already has), for appointments, treatments, recovery, possible travel and to take some deep breaths . We want to provide Corrinna the ability to do this without it placing a financial burden on her.
Please check out what Corrinna has said below:
So for any of you who have known me for more than 30 seconds, you know my life is full of adventure. There is always something happening...and there’s always a story to tell! So much so that I have my own hashtag #corrinnachronicles to keep up with all the things. Well right now is no different!
I was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer and I am living in the biggest adventure of my life! I honestly feel great...physically and in regards to my treatment options and possibilities. I have no doubts I will come out on the other side healthier than I have ever been. With the support I have gotten thus far, there has also been some resistance. Only natural, but I’d like to give some info going in:
1. I’ve been under the care of a physician for years, and have known this was a possibility. I’ve done the research, trust that I’m on top of this and ready to crush it
2. This is not a death sentence. Send all the prayers, positive vibes and encouragement. None of the pity, negativity or questioning
3. This shouldn’t define our relationship...no need to be awkward!
Several have asked what they could do or how they can help. Some amazing friends of mine have are putting together a gofundme to help right now. Some of my treatment will not be covered by insurance. On top of that, I will need to take time off work for treatment and healing. I am able to do this short term, but it effectively cuts my paycheck in half. Living off of a single income, it would be such a huge help to not have to stress about getting bills paid.
Along with that there is also a FUNdraiser () that I will have details for coming soon!! I sincerely appreciate all of the care, concern and support! ✌#corrinnachronicles #wegotthis
