THE CORNER OF MY EYE

Support Tomas Talamantes' in his senior thesis at Pratt Institute.

LOGLINE: Uma and Ben, a happy couple living together in Brooklyn, are forced to reconsider their future together when Ben suffers from a ruptured brain aneurysm, rendering him mostly blind except for the corner of his eye.

PRODUCTION COSTS:

Our goal is to raise $4,000 in crowd-funding. All money raised will go towards paying actors, crew, and locations, as well as post-production costs such as coloring and sound mixing. The film shoot is scheduled in Brooklyn, New York in mid-February of 2025.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

BEN - A young photographer working as a film archivist, abruptly loses his sight. He is torn between sacrificing Uma’s well-being by staying or the life they’ve built together in Brooklyn by moving back home.

UMA - A young artist, pursuing a career in painting, living a content life in Brooklyn with Ben and their dog. She is optimistic and avoids conflict, leading her to struggle with making a decision about the future of their relationship.
