Support Cornell Figure Skating on the Road to Nationals!
Donation protected
Figure skating is an expensive sport, and for university athletes, out-of-pocket costs can be a significant barrier to competing at high levels. The Cornell University Figure Skating Club (CUFSC) is a dedicated team of student-athletes who balance rigorous academics with the financial demands of training, coaching, ice time, travel, and competition fees.
Despite these challenges, CUFSC recently made history by winning the MIT Intercollegiate Competition. Even more impressively, the team has secured a spot at Intercollegiate Nationals, surpassing 33 Northeast teams—a testament to their hard work, talent, and perseverance. However, competing at Nationals in Notre Dame, Indiana, comes with a heavy financial burden—over $600 per skater for travel, lodging, and competition fees.
This fundraiser aims to ensure that every qualifying skater has the opportunity to represent Cornell on the national stage. Donations will directly support travel expenses, competition fees, and essential team necessities. Additionally, this effort seeks to establish a sustainable fundraising model to support future skaters facing similar financial challenges. Competitive figure skating should be about skill, dedication, and passion—not financial limitations.
