Support Corinne's Fight for Safety

Hello my name is Corinne and I am in a very tense custody battle for my two oldest children. We live in South Dakota but our custody battle is in Minnesota where their father lives.

In August of 2024 our Judge granted me emergency custody of my oldest two based on evidence and testimony submitted by my lawyer and I showing neglect. Hunter went three weeks without a shower, was only 80 pounds, and Emma was having to make herself food late at night on her own because her father was passed out from drinking.

In October after emergency custody had been given and we awaited trial, Emma disclosed sexual abuse by her father. I reported it immediately and the FBI took detailed evidence from her at the hospital in Pierre. The DA is not pressing charges at this time but has encouraged me to obtain an Order for Protection for my daughter. (That has not been started yet because it will cost even more..I hope to do this later on)

Their Dad insists we are lying, meanwhile my daughter is going through severe trauma as she works through things with her therapist. I am a single mom who delivers mail and takes photos locally to support my three kids and myself. I need help. My lawyer is amazing..and I need her, but her retainer to prepare for pre-trial and trial is 25k not including her travel costs and mine to the Trial in September. Please, if you can help me. I would greatly appreciate it. I need to keep my daughter safe, and my son in a healthy home. If the justice we receive looks like peace and safety, this is what I will fight for.
