Corinne’s Medical Warriors! We are once again facing difficult times with Corinne’s health. Monday, March 10th, we were in Boston for a routine tube swap (regular maintenance). Thursday, March 20th, we returned to Boston for a scheduled Celiac Ablation to try to stem the tide of her unyielding discomfort. She developed post-operative complications that forced an unexpected admission that same day. She was discharged on Friday, March 21st with no explanation. Throughout the following week, her pain and discomfort became worse, not better.
Fast forward to this past Thursday, March 27th. After her morning appointment with her PCP here in Maine, she strongly encouraged us to return to Boston through the Mass General ER. She has been at Massachusetts General ever since. All preliminary tests pointed to the replaced tube malfunctioning. Another tube replacement was performed Saturday afternoon, to no avail. Her pain, discomfort, and other issues persist. Since being in the hospital, she has spiked a fever. Nobody is sure what to do next.
The repeated and prolonged hospital stays have once again placed a heavy financial burden on both herself and her husband, Jim. Gas, coffee, hotel stays, food, it all adds up. We are hopeful that there are enough good people out there who are willing to help. Anything would be appreciated.
