Support Corinne's Doctoral Residency Move
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I am reaching out to you today with a plea for help. Over the last 5 years, I have dedicated all of my time, energy, and finances to earning my doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Through those years, I have worked tirelessly to help patients and their families in need of psychological and neuropsychological services. I have helped children receive supports in school for their diagnoses of Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities by providing assessment and advocacy. In the height of the pandemic, I provided in-person therapy services to individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction. I have helped patients of all ages, races, genders, and economic statuses receive diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Brain Cancer. I am currently serving our country’s Veterans to overcome symptoms of PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Strokes, and suicidal thoughts. I have contributed to scientific knowledge of psychological and neurological conditions through providing trainings and publishing research.
Those who know me, know that I have done this work with great passion and deep empathy for my patients and their families. What many of you may not know, is that all of this work has been done without compensation. Over the course of my graduate training, school and clinical work is full-time, leaving no additional time for employment. I have cared for my patients with passion and humility despite contracting COVID-19 from a training site and despite a lack of financial support. Training in this field requires dedication and frequent moves, resulting in enormous student loan debt. Though I am graduating this summer, it is now time for me to move across the country for a second time in two years to start my fellowship in neuropsychology. I look forward to continuing with my passion for patient care; however, the move is very costly, and I am seeking any support you all may be willing to provide. While this move is mandatory and not optional, I am struggling to finance it. Thank you for your love and assistance, any contribution would be very appreciated!
