On the evening of Monday, April 28, 2025, Corey (age 19) was out of town visiting his girlfriend and decided to take a bike ride. He was on the busy Interstate 385 in Greenville, South Carolina. There was a car a head of Corey in his lane and he switched lanes. As he got closer, the driver of the car slammed on brakes and crossed multiple lanes to avoid missing the exit. As she crossed lanes, she crossed in front of Corey cutting him off, which he didn't have enough time to avoid her. Corey was wearing a helmet and we are blessed. Someone also stole money from his wallet and the sd card that went to his Go Pro that he was wearing at the time of the accident. If you know anything, please let me know.

Corey underwent emergency surgery for Testicular Dislocation due to the impact with the gas tank. He also sustained a broken collar bone, collapsed lung, broken right kneecap, and a 2" hole in the left knee area. He had road rash on his shoulders, back, hip, arms, and legs. He also sustained urinary complications during his hospital stay.

During his recovery, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, Corey was taken to the Emergency Room and on Monday, June 16th, he had Urethroplasty surgery. He will continue to have to deal with self-catheterization for many months to prevent another surgery. He will have to have physical therapy for his legs.

If you own a motorcycle, you know how much emotional trauma this can cause. This has been hard as a mother watching her son go through all of this.

Please keep Corey in your prayers and share his story. Any donation no matter how small will go directly toward medical expenses and paying off the loan for his motorcycle that was totaled (his insurance company made a mistake and didn't give him full coverage).
