My name is Leshanda and on 5/1/25 I was given some of the worst news a mother could get. My 4 year old daughter Corelynzzia was diagnosed with Leukemia. She had been sick with virus symptoms for most of April that were just not getting better and every time I took her to the doctor I was told it was just a cold or just a virus. I new in my heart that my baby was not okay and when she developed more fevers, blisters in her mouth, and a rash. I took her into the ER where they did all the lab work and gave the diagnosis of leukemia. On that same day we had to be air lifter to UNMH in Albuquerque from Farmington, NM to get my girl the best possible care. My Lynzzie does not understand all she is going through and none of us understand why but she is being strong and continues to be the same sweet little girl. She turned 5 years old on 5/5 which was the date she got her port placed to start chemotherapy. We are hoping she responds well to this initial start of therapy and we may be able to get home to her 3 other siblings.

I know that we all have battles we are fighting but anything helps to try to relieve the financial burden this has caused as I am the sole provider for my 4 kids but will be missing work and staying with Lynzzie. More than anything we are asking for prayers for my little girl to be healthy and free of all illness.
