I’m asking for help during one of the hardest moments I’ve ever experienced with my dog, Cora.

Cora is only 3 years old, and she just had her birthday this week. She was happy, playful, and completely herself, until very suddenly she became critically ill.

She is now in an emergency medical situation and has been diagnosed with severe liver dysfunction along with dangerously low blood sugar and serious blood abnormalities. This all happened extremely fast, and she has gone from a healthy young dog to fighting for her life.

Right now, Cora is very weak, not eating, and barely able to stay alert. Her lab work shows significant liver damage, anemia, and other complications that require immediate intensive care.

Veterinarians have told us she needs to be transferred to a specialty emergency hospital in Charleston for ICU level treatment. This includes IV glucose support, fluids, medications, and constant monitoring. Without this care, she has no chance of surviving.

The estimated cost for treatment is upwards of $10,000, which is far beyond what we can manage on our own in such a short amount of time.

We are doing everything we can to give Cora a chance. The vets have said there is still a possibility for recovery with aggressive treatment, but time is extremely critical right now.

Cora is way more than just a dog to me, she’s my family and she’s been there for me through some of my hardest times. She’s only 3 years old and still has so much life ahead of her if she can get through this.
