My name's Delilah. I'm a 16, almost 17-year-old female and a beginner nail tech getting my GED. Recently, my 6-year-old childhood male orange tabby started having bladder problems and had a pinkish tint to his pee. I've had this cat since he was born. I had to pop his sack so he would live. He's my son for real. I would give an arm and a leg for him if I had to.
So, I took him to an ER vet around 11 PM because he was meowing at me in pain. They ended up mistreating us, and while I heard him screaming in pain in the back after the lady took him away from me without asking what was wrong or letting me go back there, they tried to tell me I couldn't have my cat treated and released unless I paid $2,000 upfront or signed over my rights. All they could tell me was that "his bladder is full on the verge of exploding and he's peeing blood." After hours of mistreatment while they let him sit back there untreated, I decided to sign my rights over. I told the lady as long as I can see he’s okay and give him a kiss & grab my Hello Kitty blanket back, I’ll sign, thinking I couldn't come up with the money overnight.
I was able to come up with the money and got him released on a catheter and IV fluids. He was very drugged up. After changing the price, they taxed us $1,080 to have him released back into my name. I then took him to another pet hospital. They looked at him, and he's now getting the proper care and treatment. Sadly, pet care is extremely expensive, so I still am looking at about 1-2 more grand for him to come home with me fully treated, healthy, and happy. I've been visiting while they have him in their care. He's slowly recovering, but his red blood cell levels are still low.
All I ask is if anything is possible, a kind message with additional advice or even $1 helps so much. Pray for my Fatboii..
