Hi! This is Cooper, my parents' dog and the pup I raised. He is almost 6 years old, and his whole life, his right eye progressively looked worse and worse. The vets couldn't do anything about it until now. There is a large white cloud blocking his vision in his pupil. Cooper is already walking into objects in his blind spot. He cannot see anything out of this eye. The surgery is expensive and out of pocket, but it has a ~90% success rate. He has to go under anesthesia, and we are hoping there are no complications, but it's try this surgery or let him continue life half-blind.

The procedure is done using the phacoemulsification technique to remove the cataract. If left untreated, the condition will be irreversible and it may cause pain if it inflames.
