Hey there, our names are Shauna and Matt Hayden. But we are here to raise funds for our super duper son, Cooper Hayden. He is 13 years old and the smartest, funniest, kindest, Jesus-loving child there ever is. He is a chess king who loves to help others and really just wants what’s best for everyone around him.

On the morning of February 13, 2025, Cooper was at the bus stop anxiously anticipating a field trip when he was getting ready to cross the road to get on the bus and BAM! Hit by a 16-year-old driver, driving a 2023 Toyota 4Runner. The responding State Trooper did not issue a ticket. Cooper is left with so much on his plate. Our once fun-loving kid is restrained to a wheelchair!

He sustained a broken tibia, numerous bruises, a sprained ankle, along with severe road rash and damage to his left knee that has it still swollen. He won’t even go near a bus or the road it happened on. He had emergency surgery that day and will need more surgery to remove the rods in many months once healed. There will be physical therapy, possibly plastic surgery, counseling, and so many more factors that go into this for him. The cost is something that is ongoing and we can’t really determine the finality of it at this time.

Cooper has missed school, his favorite ever-band events, and chess games with friends.. the list goes on and on. We appreciate every single prayer and blessing from everyone, and I know for sure Cooper does too.
