Help Us Bring Connor Home Safely

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

Some of you already know pieces of what’s been happening with my son, Connor. I haven’t shared much publicly because we’ve been dealing with an overwhelming situation and truly believed we would already have him home by now.

Connor recently turned 18 and has been struggling. Like many young adults, he’s been navigating a sudden and painful transition—friends leaving for college, the loss of daily structure, and a growing sense of isolation. He had been dealing with depression and was in a very fragile emotional state.

During this time, someone he met online began communicating with him. What started months ago escalated into manipulation and control. This individual convinced Connor that he was unsafe at home, that his family could not be trusted, and that only they truly understood and accepted him. They encouraged him to cut off all communication with us.

Without our knowledge, this person flew Connor across the country to Nevada.

When Connor stopped responding to anyone—family, friends, everyone—we were terrified. Despite our deep concerns, because he had just turned 18, authorities were unable to continue a missing or endangered person alert.

Through days of relentless detective work on my own, I was finally able to locate where Connor is and who he is with.

Our greatest fear is not just where he is—but his mental and physical safety. Connor is not himself. He is isolated, vulnerable, and under the influence of someone who has been actively controlling his decisions and identity while preventing him from speaking to his family.

We are not trying to control Connor’s choices or who he is. We simply want to reach him face to face, away from interference, so he can hear—directly—that he is deeply loved, supported, and not alone. Our goal is to bring him home safely and make sure he gets whatever help and care he may need.

We are raising funds to cover:

Two plane tickets to Reno, Nevada

Transportation (rental car)

A short hotel stay

This will allow us to get to Connor as quickly as possible and bring him home.
