Connor is an amazing 14-year-old kid. He loves Jesus, family, friends, baseball and adventure. On one of his adventurous outings on 3/10/26 he was out riding passenger with some friends on a UTV, when suddenly the UTV tipped over and Connor’s nightmare began. It tipped on top of Connor, pinning him. Both his ulna and radius were broken at his wrist, slicing his radial artery, he also suffered a fractured hip, and a fractured ankle. He has had 3 surgeries on his wrist and hand, one on his ankle, as well as having a skin graft from his thigh to his wrist. At the time he was home in Florida visiting family and friends, while his parents and younger siblings were all still in California. You can imagine what his poor mom’s mental state was until the next day when she could fly to Florida to be with her oldest child. They spent over a week in Peds ICU at Shands. He has since been released from the hospital and is having to endure months of rehab and therapy for his wrist and hand. Currently he has little to no movement in 3 of his fingers and limited in the other 2, as well as little movement in his wrist. He is also waiting to see if he will need yet another surgery on his hand. He has 2 pins in his ankle and the wound on his thigh from the skin graft. He is wheelchair bound at the moment. You can imagine what the out-of-pocket costs are even with insurance. His mom is also having to fly back and forth to California to still be a mom to her other 3 smaller children so that her husband can still work. Family members have taken turns flying out to help care for her children in her absence as well. The rest of the family will need to permanently move back home to Florida while Connor is going thru rehab and possibly another surgery. The family has attempted to do this all on their own but it’s increasingly becoming too much. It would be great to try and soften the blow of the out-of-pocket medical costs as well as having to pay for flights and the move home. If you feel led to give, anything helps and the family would appreciate everyone sharing this as well. Prayers are also always appreciated!
