We’re coming together to support one of the sweetest, strongest little boys we know, Connor Reece, and his moms, Renee and Layne, as they face another major chapter in his heart journey.
Connor came into this world with a big personality and an even bigger smile, but he was also born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect that has required him to fight harder than any baby should have to.
His first weeks of life were spent in the hospital, where he underwent his first heart surgery at just a few weeks old. After 44 days in the hospital, Connor finally got to go home and begin living the happy, normal baby life his family had been waiting for.
And that is exactly what Connor has done.
He has grown into the happiest little boy, filling every room with his contagious smile and bringing so much joy to everyone who knows him. Looking at that smiling face, you would never know just how much he has already overcome.
Now, Connor is preparing for another major milestone: open-heart surgery this August.
Why We're Asking for Help
As Renee and Layne prepare for Connor's surgery and the recovery that follows, we want to help take some of the financial weight off their shoulders so they can focus on what matters most - being there for Connor.
Caring for a baby through two major heart surgeries in his first year of life comes with expenses that extend far beyond the procedures themselves. Time away from work, hospital stays, medications, follow-up care, travel, parking, meals, and the many unexpected costs that come with caring for a child with a complex heart condition can add up quickly.
We're raising funds to help with:
- Medical and care-related expenses surrounding Connor's surgery and recovery
- Travel, parking, meals, and other costs associated with his hospital stay
- Lost income while his family is away from work caring for Connor
- Everyday household expenses during his recovery
- Unexpected expenses related to his ongoing care
More than anything, we want Renee and Layne to be able to focus their energy where it belongs - being by Connor's side, loving him, and helping him heal.
Every donation, no matter the amount, can help take a little of that financial weight off their family. If you're not able to donate, sharing Connor's story, sending a prayer or kind thought, or simply helping us spread the word means more than you know.
Connor has already shown us just how strong he is. Now we want to surround this sweet boy and his moms with the same love and support they have given to so many others.
Thank you for standing with Connor, Layne, and Renee as they take this next step. We can't wait to watch this little fighter continue to grow, smile, and show the world just how much he has to offer.
