Support Connie's Journey to Recovery

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I reach out to you on behalf of my dear friend, Connie Gonzales, who is facing a challenging battle against a brain tumor.

Connie has recently been diagnosed with a Left Tentorial Meningioma, which has invaded her left auditory canal, resulting in significant hearing loss in her left ear. The preferred course of action is surgical excision to remove the tumor. However, the stakes are high as the tumor's growth could potentially affect her balance, facial muscles, and lead to further hearing loss.

As Connie braces herself for this uphill battle, she faces another daunting reality – the financial strain that accompanies medical treatment. Connie is a dedicated full-time dietitian in dialysis, but during her recovery period, she will be unable to work for up to 3 months and will rely on FMLA. Moreover, she is the primary caregiver for her daughter, who battles Parkinson's Disease. Sadly, her daughter's condition has progressed to the point where she is no longer able to work and resides with Connie. Despite applying for Social Security disability, her daughter's case has just started the review process and can take up to 8 -12 months to be approved, adding another layer of financial stress to Connie's plate.

Connie has been shouldering the burden of her daughter's medical expenses while striving to maintain stability amidst her own health challenges. However, the impending surgery and associated medical expenses pose a significant financial hurdle. With a current out-of-pocket maximum of $6500 with her insurance, we aim to alleviate some of this financial strain by raising funds to cover these expenses.
