On November 29, 2023, Connie went to the ER in pain, finding out that it was an aortic dissection. She was airlifted to Marshfield and miraculously survived surgery for this life threatening diagnosis. She spent a month in the Marshfield hospital, most of which was in the ICU. Coming home, Connie went back to the Weston hospital on Christmas, ending up taking an ambulance ride back to Marshfield.
In January, Connie had a second surgery to continue repairing the torn aorta. Since then she has a breast cancer diagnosis and should be having surgery for that in July or August, followed by radiation treatment.
Throughout this time friends and family have been amazing, and having not worked since November, Connie has somehow scooted by, but now all of that generosity has been spent while regular bills continue to pile up.
Connie has applied for disability, but an answer about that might not come until November. She's looking for your help to get through until then.
