Connie Smith is my lifelong best friend from Ashton, Idaho. Many people know Connie from the bank in Ashton. Connie's beloved only child, Lyle Smith, was tragically killed in a car accident on December 13, 2025. Lyle was 24 and living his best life, working for a friend and farmer in Cleburne, Texas. Lyle had a bright future ahead of him. He was working toward becoming Wade's farm manager. He will be greatly missed by the farming community, friends, and French family in Texas and Idaho.

Connie is left with bills that will be piling up. She needs to get Lyle back to Idaho to bury him, to purchase a cemetery plot by his father's grave, fund a memorial service, and purchase a headstone. She will also need to travel to Dallas multiple times for various reasons such as: a celebration of life and to transport his belongs back to Idaho.

Connie has been a friend and a giver in the Ashton community her whole life. If you could help out, it would mean so much to her. Connie is currently living in Idaho, away from her son, to take care of her aging mother, Darlene French.
